About Us

Study in Egypt is the national initiative dedicated to promoting Egyptian higher education and helping international students explore study opportunities and choose the university and academic program that best align with their aspirations. The initiative operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and is managed by the Central Administration for International Students. The platform covers a diverse range of Egyptian higher education institutions, including public, private, national, and technological universities, as well as higher institutes, academies, and international universities, based on the latest official data and information.

Our Mission Our mission is to strengthen the international presence of Egyptian higher education by providing clear, official, and up-to-date content that introduces universities, academic programs, and educational opportunities in Egypt; supports informed study decisions; and prepares students for the transition to the official application procedures.

Meet the head of the Central Administration

Dr. Ahmed Abdelghany

Head of the Central Administration for International Students Affairs

Dr. Ahmed Abdelghany is a Professor of Architecture and Urban Design. He holds a PhD in Urban Economics and Informal Settlements Development, as well as a Master’s degree in Urban Management.

He has contributed to quality assurance and accreditation initiatives at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University. He also served as coordinator of a joint urban development project between the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Technical University of Berlin. He has taught at several Egyptian universities and, since 2019, has served as Director of the International Students Office at the university.

In addition, Dr. Abdelghany has served as Deputy Director of the Scientific Research and Innovation Complex and Executive Director of the African Research Cooperation Center. He is a member of the Council of the School of Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies and a member of Helwan University’s International Rankings Committee.

Dr. Abdelghany has also contributed to several national projects in the fields of urban development, as well as the preparation of strategic and detailed plans across several Egyptian governorates. He has conducted a number of urban economics studies for the General Organization for Physical Planning.
