ABOUT ALEXANDRIA UNIVERSITY: Alexandria University is one of the largest universities in Egypt, and the third university established after Cairo University and the American University in Cairo. Alexandria University dates to 1938 when it was established as a branch of Cairo University (Fouad I previously) and had initially consisted of two faculties only; Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Law. It was then established as Farouk I University in Alexandria according to the royal decree on 2nd August 1942 consisting of 7 faculties. Dr. Taha Hussein (Dean of Arabic Literature) was the first to take over the presidency of Alexandria University at that time (1942-1944).On July 1952 it was given the name “Alexandria University”, and since then its role has increased through the establishment of new faculties and specializations. Alexandria University now includes 21 university faculties in addition to 3 postgraduates’ specialized institutes. In 2010, two branches of the university were established in African countries, namely: N'djamena branch (Chad) and Tong branch (South Sudan). UNIVERSITY VISION: Alexandria University aspires to restore the historic status of Alexandria University and to achieve a comprehensive qualitative leap in various fields of knowledge within a frame work of noble human values, enabling it to take a leading position in its national, Arab, African, Mediterranean and global environments. UNIVERSITY MISSION: Alexandria University is a national, educational, research, and developmental institution integrated into the production and dissemination of knowledge. Also emphasizes the building of a modern human being and cultural rehabilitation of the society. And be able to assume leadership positions in all sectors.

Arish University is a recently established institution, officially declared an independent university in April 2016 by Presidential Decree No. 147, which established. Al-Arish University is located in Al-Arish city, North Sinai Governorate, in northeastern Egypt, with its main campus situated in the Salam District. The university serves approximately 7,400 students, including 73 international students, and has graduated 1,229 students in 2024. It employs around 370 full-time faculty members. The university comprises 12 faculties, including Environmental Agricultural Sciences, Science, Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Home Economics, Commerce, Computer Science and Information, Education, Aquatic Agriculture and Fisheries, Sports Sciences, Arts, alongside an Institute for Environmental Studies. Key research strengths focus on environmental sciences, agriculture, health sciences, marine fisheries, and sustainable development.
